i dont say a lot most of the time.
well i now am well pissed off, when i come to a forum like this i want to read about the main subject which is bikes and bikes and more bikes when we drift off subject we can end up on subjects which can be verry offencive to some people. when i read the train off thought it makes me sick. they should all be made live a nightmare and then say its only a certain % will suffer. when subjects like this are brought up over and over it allows no escape for some people , it dose not allow some people to put past in the past and look forward to the adventure that life should be.
when i say over and over i dont mean here it just seems every where, and yes i know it has to be brought out in the open but there are now safe guards in place so let these work and allow people live there live in peace.

Whow, what a contraversial and exciting thread, from the eyes of a Northern Ireland protestant.
Can I first of all begin by saying that I have been fortunate enough to have visited the Vatican City and have been utterly spellbound by it's beauty and magnificance and can honestly see how so many catholics can be so passionate about their faith, however I tend to agree with the vast majority of those subscribing here that whilst the hideous crimes perpetrated by these so called and trusted representatives of God are themselves unforgivable the actions of or in Irelands case, lack of actions by the Garda, the church or the state to bring them to book, never mind cover for them has been very much worse and in fact derelict.
I personally and moreso here in Ireland have a great many problems with religion and churches who need to move with the times and get away from outdated and impractical practices in relation to celibacy in the priesthood, contraception and even more for all our sakes the power the grant absolution to anyone regardless of circumstances who perpetrate hideous crimes against others.
I have a great many friends who share different faiths and/or political beliefs as mine and we still are and have been friends for many years. I am just as outspoken about aspects of my own faith that are archaic and out of touch with 21st century living. Maybe it's high time we got rid of them all and created our own faith and religion, that of a human beings who deserve and expect to be able to think and speak freely in our world without the influence of any self appointed representative of any particular god.
I hope all those who have been affected by any of these atrocities get all they seek by way of compensation or other and I think all those reponsible for committing such crimes need to face the full face of the legal systems.

No matter what your gender,nationality,religion or sexual persuasion I think you will all agree that ALL crimes committed against children and indeed any crimes committed against the person constitute an atrocity. The sad fact is that this will continue to happen as long as there are people on the planet whether the reason be gender,nationality,religion or sexual persuasion.
As for the original topic,surely those responsible commit these acts because they know that they can get away without punishment. Therein lies another problem. In such cases, how can the punishment fit the crime? Given that our society seems to bestow more rights on the culprit than the victim.
I'm not sure where the solution to all this is but I'm sure that even discussing it on a motorbike forum is a small step in the right direction and well done to the original poster, brave man.

There is a lot to condemn in Saudi Arabia, but when they send the child molesters to chop square, I think there is a lot to be said for it. I cannot understand why there are not charges being laid and prosecutions being brought. Maybe "they could not get a fair trial" will come into play. I hope some way is found to express society's contempt for the scum and for the people who facilitated their crimes and were complicit.
Now that sounds like a Plan, one to which I may subscribe to, being of no recognised faith right now ...

Where is the christian attitude to life that we all should have? Jail all the offenders, just like they do to a poor unfortunate that doesent have a dog licence.
