So i decided to try and print an OS map as if i was going to use it on a hike.
Is it possible to save money on buying maps and print your own?
Useful to anyone who is thinking of subscribing, to use this feature OS have incorporated to their website.
So i lined the map over Ben Nevis and also caught part of the "West Highland Way" in the same area.
Attached is what you get, it prints straight to a PDF not a printer, from there you can print as normal.
Its pretty good to be honest, you could plan a walk and mark your route on this printed copy and number them in order.
They have scale on them and the reference lines and letters/numbers
You can zoom in more before printing for better detail, but obviously you would need to print more sheets of paper for a long hike.
Ill be honest i could use this.
Brilliant backup for a GPS unit.
