I got a lead made up by Autocom to connect a Nokia 3109c to my Pro-7 Sport, and this has worked successfully when connected directly to the Pro-7.
I've now got a part 1282 to connect the Garmin to the Pro-7, and this also works fine.
However, when I connect the phone lead into socket "B" on the 1282, the phone shows "enhancement not supported", and doesn't recognise the cable connection. I've tried cleaning the connectors, but it makes no difference.
Changing back to the direct phone connection to the Pro-7 and it works ok.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've emailed Autocom direct, but I thought I'd also ask around here in case anyone has had similar experiences.

I'm thinking that the solution might be to abandon the 1282 connector, and get the lead to connect the Garmin to the big grey plug on the Pro-7.

Ta.

Call Autocom and check that you have the correct lead for the Pro-7 Sport. The Autocom Brochure indicates that the 1282 is for use on later systems. I think you might need a 1283 for your system. Best to check though!

1282 is ok for the Pro-7, according to Autocom.
I've already had that confirmed by them when I was chasing one on ebay.
I think the 3109c phone is a bit unusual (supplied by work).
I had to get a special lead made up by Autocom to suit it, as they couldn't do an adaptor for it.
Having a phone isn't necessary, but as I've got the facility, I'd like to have it working!
Thanks.

Update to this one:

Autocom fixed the problem by modifying the phone lead, which wasn't totally compatible with the Part#1282.
All sorted now. :)

Excellent customer service.
