1999 1150 GS Brembo calliper. bought a new bike but the brakes were working but felt a bit wooden. I thought the calliper a may be seized so I released each one in turn from the discs and found that the pistons moved very freely. Refitted the callipers to the bike and pulled the lever a number of times to settle the pads. On each pull of the lever there was a squelching noise. After about the 3rd pull the brake lever went rock hard with no movement at all and the brakes are now seized on. I released the bleed nipple to release any pressure but this had no effect as only a few drops came out, and certainly no pressure. What could have happened. Master cylinder???

Is the bike still wearing original (black rubber) hoses ? If so its quite likely that the hose has collapsed internally, the only way to find out is to replace all of them but it's not difficult or too expensive. I used HEL but there are other makes available.

+1 for Oblertone's suggestion.

Call motor works for some new hoses. My history is very similar. It's a few quid granted but it'll be ok when you have fixed the hoses

Is this effectively the issue:

BMW Service - Is your brake sticking / dragging?: https://youtu.be/F1htb2yiL2k

If so, if you disconnect the long hose at the master cylinder and the brakes remain locked, it must be the hoses. If the brakes free up, it must be the master cylinder.

Hose collapsing internally and acting like a one way valve. Sometimes aggravated by using hose clamps.
