Problem with Pannier

Hi all,

I noticed today that the bar, that when pulled out and down from the pannier extends the pannier, was pushed back past the stops into the pannier. When I tried to move it back onto the stops only one side extended, the other stayed in the 'narrow' position.
Has anyone taken one of these panniers apart or have any ideas how to fix. All sensible suggestions welcome.
