Ever since I came back from Lands End my Quest won't aquire satellites with the built in arial, it just keeps searching. It seems to work OK with the external one. Thinking about it on the way back it kept losing reception. Is this the result of four hours in the rain or something else? Any ideas gratefully received.

i don't think there are any settings to disable the internal antennae, as such, i think you're probably looking at a faulty connection, probably on the hinge point?

I'd contact Garmin, explain situation and return for warranty repair!

Good luck, if you do find any more info, let us all know..... a potential problem maybe for all Quest owners to keep an eye out for?

Cheers and good luck

Stu.

Yup, what he said........

GArmin are pretty damn good at getting stuff fixed quickly- whack it back to them recorded delivery and let them sort it.

Oddly enough, my old SPIII is doing exactly the same thing (after coming back from Garmin to have a new case and aerial fitted  )
