Picked this up on another web site today.....any thoughts ?
".........I had an interesting conversation today with an owner of a BMW1150GS - he had bought the bike new 2 years ago.
He said that the Green Party in Germany is forcing manufacturing companies to stop using certain processes. This is causing BMW problems with maintaining quality.
He complained of chrome going rusty and paint flaking off the engine.
Both chrome plateing and preparing aluminium for painting can use obnoxious chemicals.
Do any of our German friends know if this is true or not?......"
