I wanted to update the maps in Basecamp on my Mac.

Switched on GE, plugged in the Zumo, selected map details> install to computer.

After giving me the timeline making it looked like it was doing something, I got a red error bar, “failed to install maps” or similar.

Tried the usual, reinstall GE, etc, but it doesn’t work.

It does work with GE for Windows running on the same Mac, and it does work in GE for Mac if I plug in my old 590 instead of the Zumo.

Logged with Garmin.

Similar problems for me, all roads seem to lead to the MAC OS being out of date and of course you will probably find it’s too old to update😖

Don't think that Garmin give two toasted farts for Mac OS users. Seems strange to ignore 15% of the desktop/laptop PC market. I remember years ago it was some time before they supported Mac OS at all.

Having read the sad frustrations of so many on here with macs....
I'm just wondering how long it will take for the penny to drop?

You want to use garmins?
Get a cheapo, low spec, old windows laptop to do the job with (more or less) no pain!

I know, you shouldn't have to but hey

I run windows in a vm on the Mac. Works fine but on general principle I want it to work on Mac OS.
