Just tried fitting the new swing arm front rubber boot. Looks like I need to remove the swing arm to get enough access for my fat fingers, what an awful design. Looks like a job for the weekend, unless anyone knows of a magic trick to fit one in-situ ??

The swing arm is fairly easy to remove. You get chance to check the bearings repack the grease and grease the prop shaft splines.
Bugbear is removing the FD trunion bolt. Get the outer end to 100C with hot air gun.

Child labour?

Didn't remove the FD from the swing arm, whats the point? I only replaced the trunnion bearings a few months ago.

Yep, thinking again just drop the FD down and you have a free prop shaft. Big benefit is stirring up the reunion bearing grease. Just watch out for oil pouring from the FD speed sensor hole.
