I have need of an EU located proxy server.
Is there any IT bod out there that can help me with a project that could end up benifiting all of us.

Details to follow

Neil

There are a number of free proxies, but it has been some time since I have used one

Just search for "free eu proxy server" on Google.

Thanks for the info, now some background.

On my recent travels I foung that if you logged onto a certain ferry companies website from the EU the costs were significantly lower, and no charges for using a credit card.

So the next question;
How do you use this proxy from the UK?
Do I have to get an account with the proxy, then log into it to do by specialised surfing?

TIA
Neil

Pick a proxy address.
In internet explorer go to the internet setting-Connections-Lan Settings.

Remove the tick from " automatically detect..."
Enter the chosenproxy settings in the bottom. Ensure you have ticked the box to use proxy.

One way to test if it is working is ti go to bbc.co.uk. Outside of the UK, you will get ads.
Also, if you go to Google.com it should detect the country and give you thier Google.

As an aside, most ferry companies T&C's specifically forbid buying from another country.
You can not buy a return from Uk to France, in France, starting from the UK.

Sorry i can not be more detailed, but I am on an android tablet. :-)
