Psssst,don't tell the wife!!

fantastic job. looks ace, wish I had knowledge like yourself to be able to build a machine from scratch .well in hope the wife was ok when she found out

It starts, runs and sounds fantastic.

Went to the workshop where the magic happens this morning. It runs so smoothly, has a nice crackle and bark on the short pipe, with the extension on, it is a bit quieter and more refined, and with the DB killer in, any harshness is removed.

It should be MOT'd next week, then I can register it with DVLA as instead of a V5 it came with a questionnaire so a final hoop to jump through. Then I need to get it taxed and insured and I'll be out on it.

I can't wait for my first green lane on it.

A big thank you to Mikeyboy, Charlie, Mistacat, Arkwright, Demand Engineering (exhaust builders) and possible others I have forgotten or don't know about.

:beerjug: :bow :clap :bow :clap :bow :clap :bow :clap :bow :clap :beerjug:

Within a year, a great bike. I gave Mike a deadline of Easter and he's beaten that by miles.

If you want one, contact Mike, he'll build you one.

DC, the wife is still a bit miffed that the initial purchase was a bit clandestine, which I completely understand. It was a case of me really wanting this project and not being up front and honest.

So glad (but not in the slightest bit surprised) that you like it!:thumby:
The man is a legend:bow:bow

Is the coil somewhat exposed ?
Exposed to what?
Might seem odd,but it’s supposed to be on “show”.
The original bikes had a kind of bodged together look about them, although not a replica this bike follows the original theme,IYSWIM.
The coil is waterproof anyway but the idea is ,all of the electrics ,ign system etc can be accessed without the tank having to come off:thumb

The blue thing, on the other side (I think).

Pardon my asking, but whats with the red legs ?

You'll have to wait for a reply from Mikeyboy about the forks.

(I know the coil is on the other side. I was trying (not hard enough) to be funny) :thumb2
