Any one found a better way of siting the Autocom PTT switch other than the grip?
Have searched and several threads but older threads/models. Just wondered if a newer option out there.
Thanks

Not really an answer to your question, but !!

Use the set up all day everyday with the PTT switch hanging from the left hand grip as per installation instruction from Autocom. Have to say I've never had any problem with this set up and got used to it quite quickly. Spent the time tweaking the vox to allow me use the bike to bike 2 way radio without having to press the PTT red switch. :thumb2

Presume you've seen this?

Thats the sort of thing I am thinking of. Only probs I have ESA and it fits just in that spot:(
Thanks for the replies will have a look this weekend, may be a trip to Maplins and see what switches are available.

Which bike?

I looked at many options but with fairly large hands, mounting on the grip was not an option.
The GSA's spotlight switch was beckoning - wanted to make a permanent fitting, but the temp worked so well that I have just left it - no damage or mod to the BMW component!

On the adjuster of the clutch lever is best. You can use your index finger to operate it, and even use it when the clutch i pulled in.

How weather proof is the set up?Think I will have a look at that as have the BM fog lights with switch in that position.

Don't have a problem with water - after all the Starcom PTT is designed to sit on the handle - just below, where it would still be affected.
Nice thing is that the spot switch is actually half loose so you can slide the "tie" between casings. No drilling or perm. fixing!
