i find the stock screen on my 2023 r 1250rs noisey when up or down i have it on the top fixing holes . anyone any experience of the puig touring screen and the plus screen , do they make any difference . with the plus screen do you look through it or over it , i dont want to be looking through a screen when riding ,the bike rides great but two things spoil it for me one is the screen wind protection, the other is the occasional rattle / buzz noise around 3000 to 4500 revs , coming up from the front handlebar area ( hard to pinpoint it ) i cant find if anyone has ever found out what the annoying sound is, it spoils the ride for me , bmw dealer i bought it from has rode it and said it is fine no problems thanks you

I have Puig touring screen, fitted in the lower holes, in high position. I am 5'9'', use custom ear plugs, Shoei Neotec 2. Is much better than standard by a factor 10, rain also is cleared off the visor very well. When I push the screen down is a bit nosier but get more air flow. In both setting I see over the screen. I have the smoke version. The HJC 91 rpha flip helmet was even quieter (returned due to a fault) and the System 7 was very noisy. So it does matter what kind of helmet you have.
Had a standard Puig with a deflector which also worked, I just didn't like the looks. Will be going up for sale. It was the dark screen.

I have the touring screen, 440 mm in height and 390 mm in width, , the plus is 550 x 410. The plus looks massive. You can order the plus and see if it suits you.

I tried the Wunderlich Marathon screen (very similar to the Puig) but it came up a little too high on the high setting and turbulence was still an issue with it. Best compromise for me was the MRA Vario touring screen with flip up top. This deflected turbulent air for a much quieter ride with less turbulence, is more compact and you can look over it even i the high setting. Had one on my GSA too and it was great on that as well. In summer, on the low setting with the flip top folded down, it still takes all the blast off the chest whilst allowing plenty of cooling air flow. Looks neat too.

This is what the Puig touring plus screen looks like on the RS. So far I've only ridden with it in the down position and tried it with the screen attached in both the lower and upper mounting holes. It's better than the stock screen (not difficult) and keeps all the wind off my chest and neck. With my visor up there's still some airflow hitting my face and some turbulance but with my visor down that's much improved. My bike has the tubular bars fitted as standard so I'm sat a bit more upright.
Some of this will depend on which you like the look of most, though I suspect from what @Morety says above the MRA is better at deflecting the wind.

Here is the Puig touring screen on a 1200

The puig touring plus is way better than the givi touring, which is in turn way better than standard.
Neither are perfect.
In my humble opinion.

Screens are very personal things for obvious reasons. What's good for one person might not be for another. I've always got on well with MRA screens but know that they don't suit everyone. That Puig touring one looks pretty good. Tall enough and with the curved top looks like it ought to deflect the worst of turbulent air over the rider, in the raised position anyway.
