Recently had a dreaded screw in the front tyre, not too big a screw fortunatly and have plugged the hole with a thing called the Stop & Go Pocket Tire Plugger. Was wondering if anyone has some experiance with these.

Used stop 'n go once and tyre went flat again after the steel belting in the tyre cut through the plug. I went back to the sticky string stuff.......always works.

Another vote for the sticky string stuff, carry it all the time and have done 1 of my own and loads on others bikes when on trips.

Managed to chuck the hole valve core from using crap angle adapters AND had a puncture all within 5 miles of setting out on a 3 day Normandy tour!

....yes, its idiot proof and has worked well in the past as tourances seem to be nail magnets.....

Clearly I can't spell 'whole' :blast

I blame the wireless keyboard!:augie

Stop n Go is brilliant - my last two tyres attracted a nail within 500 miles of fitting. I haven't had a puncture for 20 years for Pete's sake, then two, one after the other, on brand new tyres! The Stop n Go mushroom meant I got every last mile out of the tyres 1 managed about 14,000 the other was changed at 15,000, but it needed a new mushroom for the last 1000 miles as the first one had worn and was leaking slightly so the tyre went down in a day to about 12 psi. Rode home on nearly flat tyres more than once - too lazy to do anything about it, provided I kept the speed up the tyre stayed round!
