er no, dont know anywhere in Kendal, tend to fix punctures myself, if your desparate come up to cockermouth, i have the proper mushroom type repair patches, that go in from the inside, would have to be later in the afternoon, or sunday, as i am at work tommorow :augie

 Don't you live in Kendal, it's not a very big place :nenau

Any way, last time I was in Kendal on a bike I got a puncture too and got it repaired on a Saturday morning at Drews Racing Tyres (or Drew Motorcycle Tyres?) - dead friendly and helpful :thumb2

Hope you get it sorted

I think its admirable that members of this site can do this and not be picked on. :thumb2

Not many bike forums are so inclusive. :augie

Do you have to take the tyre off for those mushroom jobbies? I have used the sticky straws type on my cars tyres with great sucess and would try them on ther bike if ever needed as they can be done without taking the tyre off.

Hi
I hope, you got your tyre repaired. I live in Kendal as well. I went to National Tyres with a puncture a while ago with a brandnew tyre, only got the bike on that day. They told me, they don't repair tyres at all, so I had to buy a new one.
I found out later, there is a guy on one of the Ind. Estates off Shap Road, who would have done the repair. He's got a bike repair shop, 'GS' something. I've got the phone number. If anyone wants it, give me a shout.

Hi Linda, please could you post the phone number for the GS guy in the industrial estate? Not needing him yet, but good to know as I am in Kendal quite often. Ta muchly. :thumb2

Yes you have to take the tyre of the rim, but it only takes 10 mins, i use the straws to and have worn out tyres with them still fitted, but the mushroom plugs are much more likeley to stay in place, sorry it took so long to reply :thumb
