As I sit here at the side of the road waiting for BMW recovery to take me home again, I find that I am impressed with modern technology once again. The tyre pressure warning light thing,
was I thought yet another gimmick, but doing 80 around a nice bend on the A62 it suddenly started flashing and showing the tyre going down. This allowed me plenty of time to safely stop and find the problem.
The back tyre has an inch long gash in it and the SPlash guard thing has an inch long break in the plastic.
Thanks BMW and to the unknown guy who specified this when he bought the bike from new.

For most people and for most of the time, safety gadgets are unnecessary. Very few riders suffer a torn tyre and in fact very few riders suffer a puncture. However, on the rare occasion that your number is up, these devices just may save your life. :thumb2
