Punture Repair Kit

Can you recommend a good kit, as I have just had a punture in the middle of nowhere in Wales, with "Ride On" in the tyre, which is frigging useless. Had self tapper in tyre , removed it hoping the "Ride On" would seal the hole...NOOO, so put screw back in and re-inflated tyre and limped to Chester BMW, who were brilliant and sorted me out, thanks Chester!!!

As a real emergency, carry a selection of self tappers, and screw into hole

Many people recommend the 'stop & go tyre plugger' on here, though I've never used that system.

I have used the 'rat tail' plugs which have been very good at getting me out of a bad situation (puncture at night in the middle of nowhere). Bear in mind you really also need to be keeping a mini compressor or a bike pump with you too to reinflate the tyre. Mine cost £10 from wilkinson and has been brilliant.

Another vote here for a Stop 'N Go kit. Coupled with a Slime compressor or similar there's little that will keep you off the road. Steptoe rode back from Spain with about 4 slugs blocking a huge hole
