now i know im being a bit funny odd here.. what with suggesting something called "exercise" to a gs'er being akin to asking a father for his daughters virginity or something... but im sure ive seen some sort of pushbike carrier built onto a 1150gs before (on a yahoo search) but for the life of me cant find it again.

Anyone have one? or plans for one?

Got the london to brighton to do again this year.

You want this thread, although its a 12GS it'll give you a good idea of whats required and its a better solution for carrying just one bike.

I was also in Halfords last week and they a budget cycle rack to attach to roof bars. It was £25 and could easily be nodified to form the basis of a rack that would be similar to FW190s solution :thumb

cheers guys! those threads have given me a few ideas.

I need to carry 2 bikes as well as the mrs so i think im going to have to construct something onto some pannier frames.

haha... i have done dodgy things in the past... like a trailer made with pram wheels when i was 17 attached to my scooter to carry large r/c planes.... not the most stable of things.

Maybe i could just bolt them to the panniers and have them as sort of trainer wheels!!!! :D

Solution, get a tandem sit the mrs on it and tow it behind easy!.

haha, i tried a tandem with her.. and the lazy swine did the old trick of not helping up a long steep hill... i was dead afterwards... good larf though :thumb2

she didnt appreciate me trying to ride it down some steps though... hurt a tad. The hire person had said it was a "mountain tandem" but personally... i think he was lying:augie
