Hi,
I'm putting my R1150GS away in a garage for aprox 10 months, anyone done this and have advice on what to do.
I want to disconnect the battery so stop the clock running it down, is it better to disconnect it or can I get away with pulling a main fuse ??
Should I let the tyres down as it will be on the centre stand and I can ballance it so both wheels are off the ground ?

As allways,

thanks in advance guys for the help.
John

I've never understood how an LCD clock on a bike - can run down the battery........... :nenau

I have an alarm clock that runs for a year, and alarms every morning - and it runs on a feckin' AA Duracel....... :eek

BlackAl System memory for ECU and ABS use a little energy My Foreman used to say 6 weeks if you just left it ?? I never had one so don;t know cos I take the negative lead off mine if it's sitting so nothings draining anything

My Advice Pump up the tyres to 55 to 60 psi and use something to stably just raise the front off the ground (e.g. bit of 2 x 4 cut and set under the front of the bash plate??) so both wheels are off the gound and remove the battery and put it in the garage / or house preferably off the cold floor
