Okay you hardy travellers, I'm Just back from my month in the south of Spain and have started looking at my next sortie back there. I will be flying down in January for a couple of weeks, but I'd like to go for a month in March, my options are to fly out again, But I'd like to go down on my bike again (much more exciting). I usually do the ferry to Santander which I've done many times, and I know at the end of Febuary should be okay as long as I pick a route down to Madrid keeping well to the west of Burgos to travel south. But I fancy catching the ferry to Le Havre and driving down through the west of france (Britanny) and crossing the Pyrenees into Spain and then south out to the west of Burgos. I'd like to know if the weather Is likely to be too severe for crossing the Pyrenees at this time of the year, I'm thinking that there must me some easy low routes into Spain keeping to the southwest of France for the crossing, bearing in mind I dont do cold too well.
