For a small fee, I could edit that post if you wish because you just know what she'll say to you:D

Well Done Ange RESPECT for the lady:thumb and I'm sure Tim is quietly proud of You,look forward to more of your future adventures on the bike.

The reason we'd stayed in Dorset before heading home was Baz, a great mate from last years trip around Mongolia and Central Asia, was getting married.
Pete, from the trip, would also be there but sadly Rick couldn't make it.

Being a woman, Ange is much more organised than me and had the foresight to book a nearby hotel and post some clean clothes down.

Time to get cleaned up and go and see if Baz is ok.

It was just the long slog from Dorset up to north Wales and back to work etc.

There's probably a moral in here somewhere, so if you're going to take your lady on a trip, look after her every second of the day (and night;)), there's always another day for you have a blast on your bike:thumb.....for me it's next week in Andalucia with the lads and my 550 Husaberg:bounce1

Great report, with the usual excellent photos :) Good on you both. It is hard to remember the excitement and trepidation of the first foreign jaunt. Mind you I was much younger and dafter then so probably didn't worry that much :thumb2

Great write up

I can also vouch that Ange had a big smile at the end of the trip when I met you both on the ferry. I can only presume that this was because she had fully enjoyed it, and not relief that it was all over! :toungincheek

Going to show to my SWMBO for inspiration. Dropped the bombshell yesterday and told her that we need to get a skid lid for her. :hide

Good on you Mike, Mine now has leathers/lid and boots, been on a few times now likes it, and done her CBT, but my advice is don't scare her too early otherwise she wont get on again.:augie

Tim, thanks for the excellent write up:thumb2 I'm showing my missus this post as inspiration. BTW how tall is Angie, and how was the Dakar for her, my Sarah is about 5'7" and thats what I would like her to consider buying when she passes.

Good on you Lynn, you show him the way to go gal:thumb2

Ange is six foot tall, with an inside leg of 34" (:bounce1) so the Dakar was great for her and I'd dropped the forks a bit to improve the steering.
Don't forget you could use a Kouba lowering link or lower seat to drop it a couple of inches:thumb2

I'd have to let Ange answer that since for me it's something I do several times a year. She was very concerned about it, hence the joke about us boarding on a plank:D....I feel sure she'll say it wasn't as bad as expected, which of course it isn't:thumb (there was no plank:green gri)

Great write up as usual Tim and well done Ange :thumb2
Where to next?...

Iceland next year for 3 weeks:).....To ride around Iceland was her main motivation for learning to ride in the first place, she's been practicing already so a few more months of this and she'll be ready.
