Might be me but seem to be missing some functionality

Coding plug in.

But scrolling through the trip and information menu there's some displays missing.

Having read the riders manual should display speed but doesn't.

Wonder if it'll become available after the first service, thinking perhaps despite the plug being installed it needs activating?

Cheers,

Daren

Hi Daren,
Try this using the trip/Info switch on the left handlebar cluster.
Ignition on.
Press the trip repeatedly to get: SETUP ENTER on the top line of the display.
Press and hold the trip to enter set up.
Scroll the trip to: SETUP BC BASIC.
Press info to select: SETUP BC CUSTOM.
Press and hold info.
You will get: SETUP BC ODO on the display.
Press trip and scroll to SPEED.
Press info to select TOP, BOTTOM, BOTH (or OFF).
Press info to EXIT.
Press and hold info to go back to BC CUSTOM screen.
Press and hold trip to exit.
Job done.

The coding plug enables a further riding mode- Enduro Pro
Computer pro is an option fitted to TE spec models. Nowt to do with the info displayed, as explained by fatnfast. Pg 51-52 of handbook shows all the different parameters you can select to view.

Ah. My bad. I just assumed all the displays would be available from the get go.

That's where I saw speed and realised it wasn't there.

Thanks for the replies, am grateful.

Great bit of info, thank you. :beerjug:

Thanks... every b***** time mine goes anywhere near the dealers they mess my setting up..

Annoying, but I understand that is because they connect the bike via the diagnostic plug to BMW in Germany to check for updates and the mothership resets the display to factory settings. Or so I was told by a dealer.

Correct and not only the GS's Used to happen with my XR when it went in for service all the shift lights would reset back to default.
