went into dealers to book my 08 gsa in for fuel gauge strip repair and a gaiter replacement (it just decided to pop out because the plastic retaining clip snapped) i was then told it would be £93 fitting plus part £34 for the gaiter which cost probably £2 to make and then £200 for the fuel strip inc fitting. has anyone had a goodwill repair on the pathetic fuel gauge problem? i know people put up with not having a gauge but its a £13000 bike for godsake and its the yellow warning triangle what pisses me off. after a bit of a rant in the dealers thay said that the problem is that bmw are sourcing stuff (shite!) from the far east and as a result the quality has suffered

The last time they did it last September it only lasted 3 Fills and it packed in again. I just haven't been arsed to get it done but the yellow triangle is pissing me off now

and shit customer service, not to mention the price of the dam bike
