I'm going to split from here on the Sat morning (2nd June) and head around our little land. Will probably go clockwise from Belfast. Maybe see some of you on the road or by a campfire?

We shall be in France, overnight boat from Portsmouth on Friday 1st June back on 10th:beerjug:

Teejay

I.......Maybe see some of you on the road .......

If your road reaches to Tralee a  on me awaits your call. :thumb
Do enjoy.

A (stanley) jubileeeee was a range when I were a lad - often warmed my shins by one - of course a camp fire is a good substitute.

Heading out to the Harz on the 2nd, and coming back on the 8th for a few days of fun on the bike. Great for me as a scumbag contractor because I had no work on that week anyway.

Out on the 1st bike do in Bruges then off through Luxembourg, down to the Black forrest, up the Rhine, bit of a vist to the Hertz, then bike do up near Aarchen and back home for tea toast and medals on Sunday afternoon.

I too shall be away for the whole of that week, bank holiday monday heading south through Germany..

I'd have headed down to Chamonix, but the ferry costs from Ireland and fuel just make it more expensive than it's worth, so Ireland will be my playground on this occasion. Might take you up on that jar GerryC! :beerjug:

Anticlockways

I had planned to take Brittany Ferries Cork to Roscoff on 2nd June then blast into Northern Spain and Portugal and return Brittany Ferries Santander to Portsmouth and landbridge it to Belfast....... Almost £600 :eek:

So it's looking like an anti clockwise trip round Ireland as I've never really seen our wee country before.

Yeah, like the plague...it's a hole! Just beyond it is Donaghadee and down the Ards peninsula (Strangford Lough) which if you head on down, you can catch a little ferry at Portaferry and head over, which if you keep going south from landing, will take you down to Newcastle and the Mourne Mountains (around 40 miles), and beyond that again, Carlingford Lough. After that, there's pish all for quite some time. Enjoy and maybe see you on the road.

ill be on yer island then

if i head to bangor will i avoid it :D

lol

i will be at the mercy of translink for this trip :blast

done the lap of strangford (daft eddys mmmmm, dufferin arms before )

If you are passing through sligo Sunday call in and get the Gs on the local MX / enduro track.

Before I head off next weekend i decided to see the Doc today in an attempt to get my hayfever medication changed, as riding is crap when, like now, I'm bunged up with a sinus infection and filling a box of tissues a day.

Told him I was heading off by myself next weekend to see Ireland.....

I tell him I've just got rid of the KTM and returned to a GSA. It just happens the Doc has bought himself a new Triumph Explorer and is at a loose end over the Jubilee holiday. So now we are both heading off round Ireland next Friday together.

Biking really is a bit funny like that at times.

To be fair, he is a biking mate. But it's almost 10 years since we did a bike trip together.

That's handy, he'll be able to keep your hayfever under control first hand :D

Enjoy your trip, safe jouney :thumb
