No, not at all. The truth is, the current '3D' view is really not 3D, it's 2D from a higher (or, if you want to be really pedantic, lower) perspective than the 2D presentation. I hadn't thought of it that way until HMR pointed it out, and I suspect others may not have thought critically about it either.
