Could you PM me coz I'd like to buy your engine bars. Not paid my subs - not coz I'm tight(although I am)- but as I'm leaving for Nepal in 4 weeks on a charity ride and gonna spend a year out there doing volunteer work so budget is tight.

It doesn't work like that... you have to sponsor in order to be able to not only send PMs but also to receive them.

can't be that tight if you still have a Fireblade, Triumph TT600 and a DT250:)

don't be a skinflint...there a lot of perks to sponsoring

but you can't use the for sale wanted without sponsoring

Yeah I realise this. Just that I'm not gonna get any benefit using the UKGSer buying/selling forums whilst away.

The 'Blade had a load of washers/nuts dropped into the oil filler by the (soon to be) ex wife and is in bits. The TT is for sale to fund the GS. The DT is..... needing some work.

The site is great and love using it and will gladly pay something towards it. Just been in blag mode the past few months to help with the trip and orphanage sponsors etc so I'm used to trying to get things for free. No offence meant to anyone.

Ouch....................heard of vengeful ex's cutting up clothes etc........but that is really below the belt..................no wonder you're getting shot of her.........

That was the least of it - if you can believe it!! Slashed me up with a knife. Rammed the car I was driving with her car! Joined the AA (using my bank ac details) then called the AA to get them to tow my van away - claiming she'd lost the keys! Used my bank card no (in spite of me taking out a new card with new numbers) to order £2k of goods off the net. Removed loads of Blade parts off the bike in the street - tank, mirrors, exhaust, pegs, screen, seat, battery, shift lever - in half an hour. Then intercepted parts at Honda dealer when I ordered more! Had my landline calls re-directed to her phone! When I discovered this I got a new ex-directory number from BT - she called me on it within 2 hours!Assaulted me in the street with a bike chain. Found out where my bike was being MOT'd and turned up and stole the keys having failed to persuade the guy to give her the bike. Hacked into all my e-mail, electricity account, sky account and buggered them up. Got into my internet banking when I was away in Nepal and took out all my overdraft - £2,800. I had changed all numbers, passwords, usernames and put codes/passwords onto EVERYTHING but made no difference.Conducted 24hr surveillance on me, my family, my friends, their families and friends! Made THOUSANDS of nuisance calls to all the above. I could go on but I won't.........

The most common phrase from coppers, phone operators, bank officials etc was: "She shouldn't have been able to do that." Well she was able to and she did.

I never touched her bike.

Life goes on though and I'm not bitter.

Scary or what..................good to see you're still sane, is there nothing the Police/Courts can do?
Most of us have never gone through this sort of torture, hope I never will.

What did you do ? have an affair with her mother/sister for her to turn into a monster cow??

What did you do ?

NOTHING. She suspected me of having an affair. Which I wasn't. If I had been then at least I would have got some enjoyment out of the situation!

Anyway, I feel we're digressing from the point. Which is me trying to get hold of Straypuss's engine bars.

I think in the circumstances the man should be spared from sponsoring. :) After all what could his soon to be ex do to this site

That is the saddest thing I've read for ages!!

OUCH!!

You're too kind. Look I don't mind sponsoring the site anyway, but meantime could someone let Straypuss know that I want his engine bars?

She was a very clever IT person. Only reason I'm daring to post on the web again (some 18months on) is that she seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth recently.:beerjug:

Hell hath no fury eh

And Ye the pleas of the buzzy one fell not upon deaf or unkindly ears. You've got mail is I believe the appropriate reply
