"How do I get the DERV out of my tank" you may get more response :augie

Well what a load of sensible suggestions that was !!:blast:blast:blast:blast:blast Get some great technical advice on here dont you !!

I would suggest...

Finding the lowest point of the tank... Drill a hole...

or...

Run the tank till near empty, open filler cap, put lit match over filler, and watch remaining fuel vapour gently burn off..

Daytona boots....£200

Gs1200....... £10,000

Filling it up with diesel...... Priceless !!! :bow

At Banjul airport last month we had exactly this issue as the bikes had to be drained of fuel to be loaded on to the aircraft. For the 1200s, a drain pipe was made which was a piece of fuel pipe with I think the female quick fit connector which was then attached to the fuel pump. Turn on ignition and fuel was pumped out of tank.

Thanks Sid:thumb

Tried to do it, without success, at Tashkent airport last year. Fortunately:eek::eek::eek: they allowed the bike on the aircraft with only a few litres in the tank. Worried all the way to Heathrow:eek::eek::eek:

Thought I'd try to work out how to do it for future reference.

Cheers mate.

PS Enjoyed the other contributions:aidan

The fuel sits lower than the two outlets at the side so you'd have to dismantal and turn the tank inside out. I know because I fitted the GSA tank to my GS. :thumb2
