Quick disconects?

Guys wheres the best place to get the chrome/brass fuel line quick disconects please,does anyone do a kit with all relevent parts? Iv seen the kit from bmw boneyard but id like to get some in UK..much gras..
 
Got mine from Bike It, they are plastic and have been on for the past 15 years, so seem to wear well!
 
I got mine from Tom Parker Ltd in Preston a couple of years ago.

BMW have been selling metal Q/D's for a few years ...

Indeed, they don't sell the plastic ones (at least my dealer doesn't) for the very obvious reason that the seals leak and when you try and replace them the neck breaks off and the fuel gushes out onto your boots and the hot exhaust.

You now need to put your finger over the leaking connector and pray you have a clamp or pair of mole grips within arms reach - otherwise . . . .:eek:

Do they? mine are still fine. :) (I've had more leaks from the join between the flexi-tubing and the metal tube - just needs the metal clamp crimping up a bit).

I think in the US they have more ethanol in their fuel than we do and that affects the plastic and rubber more.

It's the male that breaks, right in the groove where the lock clip slides into. The plastic is very thin at that point.
The ethanol has little to do with this issue.
 
Ok thanks for the help guys bought a set from the good ole US of A chromed brass BMW boneyard....

JB i dont know how to share a link..but if you google BMW boneyard there site is easy to navigate..search fuel disconects it pulls them up...you can buy individual or like me the kit..has all of them....hope that helps..

Quite exciting when they do break though.

How much shipping did they charge ? I went through the process and they asked for £65 just for shipping
