Hi,

Anyone had a quick shifter fitted ??

I have a 2010 GS1200,

Thanks,

I am not sure the up down shift is avaliable on anything but the OEM gear assist pro on the newer Water-cooled bikes. You can't use that as it's a whole system that works together.
Happy to be proved wrong though.

I do indeed......and love it muchly :D

Isn't the hexhead GS' gearbox a bit too "loose" (I'm at loss of words here) for a quickshifter?
I was considering installing one, because my other bike has a quickshifter (traditional: up only) and I love it muchly too... :D on track and on the road, but I was advised against installing it on the GS.

Translogic on my 2010 bike, left the kill time at default sets and it's perfectly balance in line with the gearbox throw / 2-upwards it's brill as it was on my 2013 bike that I also had it fitted to before bm decided to bring out shift assist. If you have a pcv you can use power commanders own shifter, much easier install - plug n play, I also had this on another TC, however I strongly recommend the translogic kits (they make the OE shifters for triumph and several other bike manufactures)

Who ever told you to avoid fitting one to a GS is talking bollox, no doubt someone whom had never tried one .

Mine's been in situ for about a year now without any issues. It's a translogic QS, and as DD says, they manufacture both OEM & their own QS's for all the major marques :D
