Been using old Quicken 2001 deluxe for years on a series of older PCs. Home finances only.
The old CD cannot be loaded onto newer PCs so I have now acquired a brand new 2014 Quicken CD in USA. It can be set to run happily with GBP as default currency but it cannot upgrade my old UK based Quicken 2001 file.

I can bite the bullet and start from scratch setting up accounts, etc. but I really would like to import the file I've been using for years.

Any Quicken file upgraders lurking on here?

Thanks. It says I need to install an intermediate version 2004 first, in order the convert my old 2001 data file. That will be a challenge in light of the different PCs being used. I'm not sure if the latest 2014 will actually work on my older home PC. Fingers crossed.

There are 30 day trials available of various releases of Quicken........if you need to go through the intermediate conversion stage (which looks likely from a quick search) then you could d/load the later versions, activate as a trial then open and save the old files.

Just as a matter of interest, why won't the old one install? Have you tried opening it or installing it using 'compatibility' mode?

(right click on the .exe file, select properties> compatibility tab, select old OS that it was designed for originally)
