Post Christmas I am using a set of SureE3c earplug monitors.

Fantastic. Cut out almost all the helmet noise, whilst delivering fab sound quality, even at M-way speeds (i.e. 69mph and below, m'lud). However, on a mysterious bit of autobhan I found lurking near the A3, they were just as good at 85.

Hi Bigtwin,

Do you have a link to the SureE3c site you can share with us? :thumb

Shoei Z-One and (disposable) ear plugs was the best I've had. Unfortunately I wanted to fit an Autocom and they just wouldn't fit in the Z-One so got an Arai helmet (Corsaire sp?) instead. It's MUCH nosier even with plugs, but the speakers fit a treat.

cheers

Mark

Hey Bigtwin. Are these rally as good as wearing good disposable earplugs? I want muisc and have only used disposable plugs and this sounds a cheaper option that going for custom Ultimate's with speakers in (1round £150 I think). BTW, what lid do you use?

Have a look on ebay for sellers. Looks like a bunch selling new in the UK for £99 and this guy here for $136 + $20 P+P from the US.

Ear plug tip

Just a tip I discovered today with ear plugs.... If you don't push them in far enough and they protrude enough to touch the padding of your crash helmet, they make things even worse than not wearing them......

I tried it a couple of times to be sure and it dfinately had a big effect.

With them in but touching the padding i did reduce a lot of noises but caused a horrible drone type effect and when the strap buckle falpped and hit the helmet it positively amplified it.

Cheers, Piggers
