Quiet Helmets

My Shoei Neotec2 is the quietest and most comfortable helmet I've ever owned.

I wouldn't touch another Schuberth, a major disappointment for me.

As always YMMV, its a shame bike gear shops don't have a sound booth where you could test a helmet for external noise.

C1 & C2 were good but went downhill after that.

I'm not reading through the whole thread......apologies if this has already been mentioned.
Don't overlook the RPHA range of HJC helmets.....started using them a few years ago.....currently wearing a RPHA 90S flip with a Cardo attached.

Fantastic lid.

Every fucker and hs dog that make earplugs swear they are the best at stopping noise

Reality is they are no better than some comfy 3M foam
Best are custom made they really do work

Same here. My neotech 2 is the quietest lid I've ever owned as well as one of the most comfortable. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Neotec 2 here comfortable quiet with ultimate ear plugs and can hear the satnav and phone clearly at motorway speeds.
Might have bimble down to Motolegends and have a butchers at the Neotec 3.

Spooky that…. Bought the very same pair last week…. Having always had trouble with moulded plugs…. My default has been foam plugs….. so I put the new ones in… went less than a mile up the road , and stopped, took them out and put my foam plugs back in

I’d say Neotec 3 is quieter than the 2 . But the ‘game changer’, a much used stupid expression , is the free Personal Fitting Service’ which makes the helmet fit perfectly by filling in any voids etc and making it even quieter .

I Too have always gone with foam ear plugs, usually cutting off a small section so they fit fully inside my ears, but they kept falling out, or after I take my helmet off.
Hence the reason I went and tried these newer style ones, they do need patience to allow for the different sizes that may be required, simply insert, twist backwards, once inserted they seem to me to be as comfortable as foam ones, and best of all they don't slip out until you take them out.
Choices are not everyone's cup of tea, same as helmet a choice, I chose G Mac Helmets, like the feel of them, they have everything I ask from a helmet, most of all good quality, safety stamped, and lower costs, Aria and Shoei's, where my preferred helmet choice, apart from their extortionate prices.
