morning all.

after purchasing a 550 i finally got round to connecting up my autocom last night and did the Zumo at the same time.

it all works but the volume from the zumo is very low. i know the speakers go louder as when i speak into the autocom mike, my voice is very clear at any speed. but the music from the zumo is very quiet, even on full volume and totally inaudible above 40mph.

also i can't get the zumo lady to talk to me.

any ideas.

i'm riding a 650 dakar, with high screen and use normal sponge ear plugs, if it helps.

Have you adjusted the MP3 and Nav volumes to max on the Zumo. And then adjusted the overall volume by using the rubberised speaker button on the left and toggling it to the max?

I assume the zumo is bike powered. I have noticed she does not talk when I don't get the proper power contact using the cig ligher in the car.

As suggested there are two volume controls one for the MP3 and one for the Navigation. I have the same set up with the Zumo hard wired into the Canbus and the volume is fine however, I did initially have poor volume and it was because the VOX setting of the Autocom was not set properly and which meant the VOX was coming in constantly, this means the Autocom thinks its transmitting all the time and reduces the volume into your headset.

I suggest you check the VOX to make sure this is not happening to yours.

cheers guys.

got it sorted last night with the aid of a poking finger, a screwdriver and a beer. turned out to be a dodgy wire in the zumo-autocom lead. its still playing in mono, which i assume it shouldn't be, and i'll get around to having a look at that at some point. but at least its generally working.

a nice gentle bit of Tom McRae this morning on the way in. very calming for all that filtering through london...

If you have any other problems phone Autocom direct.:bow

I had the same issues with volume and they were great at running me through a procedure to check all the settings on the Zumo to sort it.

My problem now is it's too loud!!:D
