R 18 Roctane

Apparently it goes round corners better. I watched a review of a R3 and Ducati Diavel head to head and they both made surprisingly lively road bikes unlike a lot of big cruisers. I'm sure you could adapt a R3 for some sort of luggage but appreciate this isn't its intended market. Certainly earlier Rockets could be had with panniers because I've seen one kitted out for touring a bit like this:

At least another one has been used...................

But the problem still remains that the cylinders prevent you from placing your feet where they should go
Interesting view given the HD Dyna, Sportster ranges all have mid controls as standard which are in the same position as the R18s... It also seems HD may have got it wrong as they are now offering mid control kits for the vast majority of their range..

I sat on one at Alton the other week. When I lifted my right foot on to the pedal the top of my boot was touching the underside of the cylinder head and the sole was depressing the brake pedal. I'm only a size 8 :duno

I'd have been OK in Flip Flops :thumby:
