Just thought I would highlight an issue with the recommended shock tube for the R1200GS Adventure 2018 model year.
On the R & G website, they list the shocktubes 2BK & 9BK as fitting the rear shock, but no mention of the front shock. On phoning R & G they advised the front shocker requires 9BK. On trying to fit it, I found this tube to be simply too short, I would estimate by around 4-5cm.
The dealer I got the tube from has acted in good faith in supplying this item, but now is getting awkward as they feel the correct tube has been sent and it is up to me to prove otherwise.
On phoning R & G and I spoke to the UK sales manager, who had the same stance but after some discussion agreed to supply a longer tube (by 4.5cm) 3BK which should do the job. Also said that in the worst case scenario that their stock items do not fit, they could o make a custom made item but not sure at what cost.
Result, good customer service.
