Have to agree, the show was utter crap.
If this is the BMF`s way of re-launching itself after recent adverse publicity then it fell very flat.
Most of the clothing stuff for sale was utter cheap shite & yes most of it was being sold by Asian stall holders.
I heard one telling a young lad a load of utter crap regarding the quality of his "never heard of" branded jacket, to the extent that a quick "its utter shite mate, move on" by myself was called for.
Also as far as I was aware it was a MOTORCYCLE show, so what`s with the carved wooden animals, painted porclain plate`s etc etc!
And why the hell should we have to wait in line for a bloody age to get in, surely if they charged £15 instead of £16 it would make it easier & quicker dealing with the change aspect.

The BMF officials were going round canvassing opinions from the club reps at the show. The fact that you now have to pay £2 for a programme, having already paid £16 to get in was high on the list, as was the high proportion of Sunday-Market traders. The lack of decent stuff going on in the arena was also mentioned by quite a few.

This was probabably our last visit to peterbrough,We,ve done the bmf since the late seventies.We have had alot of great memories but the last 3or4 years its gone down the pan. we went up on the balcony with a pint to watch the moped mayhem, and were asked to move on by long time bmf man Jeff stone, saying it was let out for corporate use even though no barriers evident. Its as vernon says they dont want a memba rally, and its not run by bikers, what you get is a pile of shite. Lets hope kelso retains its atmosphere and the thieving twats stay south.

I was sorry to hear what this has become.I stopped going when members day was abolished as the samre year we went to the kent show and we had to pay the full entrance fee no aknowledgement of being a member. I came to the conclusion that they were just interested in making money out of it's members. All this thieving was unheard of along with all the ethnic minority stalls though this was comming in when we last went. The final straw to me was acouple of years ago when a friend had his one month old gs staolen in Germany. His wallet and documnets went as well on applying to the BMF for a new membership card he received his card with a very rude letter telling him that he must take more care of the new one as there were expensive
tio produce and send out!. Not a word of comiserqation over his loss and as a long standing member he promptly cut it in half and sent it basck wioth his resignation. I then followed suit, MAG for all their perciveid short commings got the toll for the Dartford tunnel removed for bikes, the BMF never did anything and as a regular user this has saved us all a few bob.

What surprises me is that people take no notice of the reports of previous years - they have indicated a downward slide for a long time, yet still people go.
The BMF must be laughing all the way to the bank, thanks to those optimists who say "Last year was rubbish, but this year might be better, so I'll go just in case"

I gave up on the BMF when they failed to chase up the £100000 that was stolen from them by a East of England showground employee and they also paid out a redundancy package of around £55K to an employee, which was well above the level that they needed to pay out.
The management have lost the plot totally and I will be very surprised if they are around in a couple of years time.
