If you were going to replace your driveshaft which option would you choose?

I'm tempted to get an exchange recon unit from Motorworks, they advertise a new one for around £500, and a rebuildable unit for about £400.
Money is a bit tight which is why I'm thinking recon unit.

What experiences have people got with using a reconditioned item?
