R100GS-PD Dual Seat to Solo Seat

I'm looking to swap my dual seat to a solo seat. Can anyone tell me what's required to do so? I've seen a "kit" online which shows a solo seat and a rear rack/frame. Am I right in thinking the new rear rack/frame bolts to the existing sub frame, and the solo seat fixes to the existing pickup points and the new rear rack/frame? If so, can anyone advise where to buy these in the UK? The thing I saw online was in the US. Thanks in advance.

Unlike the earlier G/S the solo seat and rack combo fits mostly as you’ve described. The rack bolts to the subframe and you relocate the seat catch from it’s original position to forward of the new rack. The seat then just clips in just as the original dual seat did.
If the usual suspects in the UK, Motorworks et al don’t have these parts I’d try Siebenroc in Germany. Sometimes you’ll be surprised what BMW themselves can still supply to order.

I have both and swap from dual seat to single seat and extra rack in about 15 minutes, because I find doing the nuts and bolts up a fiddle. It isn't difficult, just fiddly in amongst the tubes for the racking. The seat catch is just two bolts. The frame attaches with four - so it is just 6 nuts and bolts to attach the single setup, and only two for the dual seat (those that attach the seat catch).

Sorry, I won't be parting with them.

That’s handy being able to swap between the two. I thought I might have been able to get the setup from Motorworks but they don’t have any in stock according to their website. I’ll keep looking though, I’m in no rush.
