Hi,
I'm looking at an R100GS, when the rear brake's applied, the bike feels like pulsing.
If just shoes then fine.
If the hub is not right, can it be skimmed?
Does anyone do replacements, not in Mototbins catalogue
Could it be something else?
Cheers guys

John

Yes, a lonnnnnnnng time.
But, as hubs are not for sale anymore, I hope I'm not possibly buying a can of worms.

Check the adjustment of the rear pivots on the paralever - they can cause a bit of a shimmy if they are not right. Dont ask

I would pull the wheel and have a good clean / check / regrease - I resurrected a bike that had stood for 23 years and there was corrosion between the shoe and the lining, and it was just about ready to part company.

:topic but probably right:augie If you hang over the front and feather the brake, you should tell if it's the disks. Assuming it's smooth when brake not applied!

had a similar prob myself on my mono, just cleaned it up and used it, after a few hundred miles it fixed its self, while you have the hub off look for cracks arround the bolt holes, this can happen if the wheel has been over tightend
