R1100 RT intermittent misfire

Just been asked my opinion by fellow rider with the following problem.
1100 RT 1997 with 27k on clock taking it for MOT this morning all running well then started misfiring on right cylinder above 2000rpm running on both below this running on left side only. the following has been checked, both plugs spark well no loss in compression. plenty of fuel and pump is working, has new battery fitted.
any input would be very much appreciated.

check the coil for cracks

Hall sensor or ignition coil which is part of the HT lead.

Suggested he tried another coil hall sensor is checked and ok that was first thought bet it's the HT lead!!

Yes had exactly this on my 1150 - dodgy coil packs and HT leads. All sorts of strange behaviour.

What exactly do you mean when you say that the spark plugs are well?

Spark plugs are well they have a nice colour and spark evenly

Just a thought, with my R1100RS, when you lift up the saddle, on the near side just in front of the nearside rear trim panel there are a set of connectors. I had rough running and it was due to one of those connectors being loose. Otherwise see if you can borrow/ get hold of a coil pack and leads and try those.
