So the 1150 is gone and looking to get a cheap rough and ready run around

will buy a clean 1150 adventure or 1200 at end year or next year when house is built

but anyone got advice on the 1100gs

http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/motorbikes/2170491

i dont mind abs and heated grips not working.

may just whip abs out and fit oxford grips into te existing switch gear for the heated grips so dont mind that part

but anything in specific that i have watch for with bike that old and high miles

only thing i like about it is, some 1100 or 1150 with 40-50k go for double this price so not as if miles are drastically hihg

bike will be my project bike and trail riding bike. dont expect if be gleeming

any advice

Seems like a good deal. You'll need to take the goal posts off the back of it though.

ya they would make off roading a pain in the arse.

hope go see it at weekend.

mean get have a bike just while get my house done up

seen this one?

http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/motorbikes/2175325

seems like a lot more Bike for a little more money :nenau

i've no connection with seller etc etc.:blagblah

(but wish i was in the market :( )

EDIT: no. seems like less bike / just cleaner... maybe... perhaps....
anyone seen my glasses?!

well had been talking to him.

it has 52k on it.

yes does look cleaner alright.

my only argument is a spare engine and 2 gearbox may be worth bit extra.

but trade off is the red one has some elec faults on it.

draw to the red one is all the add ons thats could sell in time. and could get started on my R900rr project as would have a full engine and gearbox essentially free with bike

just would have get an r80 frame, big carbs, shaft drive and rear wheel. ktm front end and ktm 640 tank and fairing

at Ogs house...

four bikes.
and the only one running is a single seater moped :banghead:
- and that's Mrs Ogs! :D

sorry - i'm way :topic

well think i will leave these bikes

maybe me but get this nagging feeling that having 2 boxes and spare engine means original gave lot trouble or else is on its way out.

think just keep my cash and get much newer bike in time

*nods vigorously in agreement*....

I would go for the red bike with the spares, that mileage is feck all and the chances are that the ABS fault would be an easy enough fix.

well i am not in rush

will take mates bike for next week if have to for the HU event

let him keep it for week and see if get it cheaper

ah if its lad from here fair enough least then know now some wanabee expert who trying pull a fast one
