Looks nice with the 1150 beak conversion and paint job :-)

Shows how much I know, never realised wrong beak, and colour as well? Thought that was a standard colour, 1999 BTW. should I be concerned. It's from a reputable dealer.

Wavy discs too.

Colours could be OE, unlike the headlight

Maybe worth checking for front end accident damage (headlight, beak, discs)

Someone on here may recognise it from the reg.

ABS or no?

Square headlight with double round stone guard thing makes headlight look different.

Certainly doesn't look resprayed will look closer next week 26k miles T 719 ***

Got a double headlight on mine, difficult to tell from the pics that it's a guard.

I cant see an ABS ring on the front wheel from the pics. Is there evidence of ABS on the bevel box?

Shoudn't be a need to replace the front discs by 26 k miles.

How does it ride?

I understood it to be a non ABS model. will double check, what am I looking for on bevel box?

Kalahari yellow was available from '97-'99 so that checks out.

You've got me worried about front end now!!

I would hope the dealer hpi checked it before taking it in, but guess it could be non insurance repairs after damage. Or maybe just a previous owner liked the look of the wider beak.

Those wavy disks aint cheap so am I being paranoid now

Test ride next week

Thanks for your input Nick

somebody has loved that bike and spent some money on it. looks great. looks like the 1150 style beak could be a b-art one and those were not cheap.

I wouldn't worry about the front end, I doubt anyone would go to all the trouble of fitting the 1150 beak if it was a post accident repair. The forks and calipers are all 1100gs. The little yellow side panels are aftermarket and not cheap. I would say someone has cared for it in the past and just added a nice personal touch. It's a nice looking GS :)

The shop you are buying it from are spot on and would not retail a bike unless they know its correct just ride and enjoy it, it's looks a great bike.

Yep MRA screen , TT side panels and fog lights, hand guards and extensions and Hepco Becker engine guards and 1150 beak.... Looks loved.... If it rides well, crack on...... Good luck

It has to be said though....... Who in their right mind would buy a bike in monkey piss yellow. :D.
Thank you Marty.

Hope it all works out well for you.

Think monkey piss yellow is a tad harsh

The special edition Kalahari yellow, available from 96 - probably the best and rarest of the 1100s (certainly the quickest) very sort after now and fetch many thousands of dollars in the US. ;)

Monkey piss yellow may be a bit harsh, as it was the preferred colour I was looking for.
On the way home from work yesterday I saw a DB4 in a local Aston Martin dealers, normally the cars are covered up but this was on display.
