Having recently purchased my 1100GS...loving it, the indicators have started to flash too fast! First it was the left one...intermittently. Then riding home lastnight the right started doing it!! I indicated to go right...normal blinking...then it sped up...then slowed..
Bulbs seem ok. Is it the relay? Something else?
They are not led bulbs. Can somebody help please?

More than likely corrosion at fuse/relay box. Electrical contact cleaner then dielectric grease.

Also check bulb holders for corrosion too.

I have a spare flasher relay for an 1100 if you find its that or want to rule it out, burrich

PM me your address. Though I doubt it will solve the issue, out of the 4 different bikes ive had the flasher relay out of, none have showed any sign whatsoever of corrosion there. Ill send you it so you can rule it out, though good if you could send it back if it turns out not to be that. I would be looking closely at your bulb holders or a chafed wire though.

Sounds like a dodgy connection to the indicators to me.

Try putting your hazards on then walk around the bike fiddling with the indicators and if necessary remove the lens covers to expose the lamp.

Hi..many thanks for replies...and offers of help. Having checked all the indicator bulbs..again, one of them was a different shape from the others. Smaller. So I changed it. And, it appears to have solved it.
