Seems fixed - Running much better
I had the bike running well again yesterday and it test rode OK. Unfortunately I can't test ride it extensively on the road because the insurance has run out. But it seemed much better. Pulling hard, revving well, no lag, no surging.
In the end it did turn out to be something simple. I sent the fuel injectors away to Steven Biggs at Mr Injector, in Suffolk. They tested, overhauled and then tested them again. The results : both injectors below par and one of them delivering 15% more fuel after their work. One was worse than the other so they were unbalanced.
The total bill, with the injectors delivered back to me including new throttle body seals was only £36.58.
I'll probably get the injectors on my K75 and K1100 done too.
Steve uses ASNU test and cleaning equipment manufactured in the UK. They can deal with almost all injectors and carry over 10,000 different types of injector in stock, including ones from old classics. They were recommended to me - I'd recommend them to others
