Good day gents, at present I'm in the French Pyrenees and am suffering from a fault with the neutral light not coming on when in neutral and therefore bike will not start.
The VDO shows that I'm in neutral but whatever switch operates the neutral light is sticking more often than not.
Where is the switch located, and can it be bypassed until I get back home.
Thanks in advance for your kind attention 😃

Its behind the paralever pivot, so not a roadside fix, and its sealed so you can't do much with it. The solution is to pull in you clutch and it will start, providing of course your clutch switch is working!

Clutch switch is not working 😯
Can it be bypassed?
What is it doing behind the paralleled pivot?

Yes. Very easily. Follow the clutch switch wiring from the handlebar lever to under the tank. Unplug from main loom and bridge the plug on the loom with a piece of wire or paper clip etc...

But if you really don't want to feck around just pull the wires from the handle bar switch and just twist them together :D

Thanks Steptoe, any quick/easy fix for the neutral light switch!

Check the neutral switch plug, that can sometimes get corrosion on it. It's above the L/H footrest hanger with a few other plugs.

The switch itself is a bastard to get at on the back of the gearbox and it's very common for the small bolts that hold the neutral/gear indicator switch to shear off so i'd leave it until you're home.
