R1100GS popping on the over run ..

Hi been out on my GS today and decelerating in lower gears ..like going down hill for instance tis popping from the exhaust .. any ideas ?

It's popping on the over-run, perfectly normal....enjoy!

You've got an air leak somewhere in your exhaust system.

I thought it was something to do with rapidly condensing exhaust gasses, also depends on the set up (stock vs aftermarket/race exhaust and mapping etc). My old GS used to pop like a good un' with an Akro fitted, and I could make it increase/decrease by plugging a laptop into the power commander and playing with the map.
