Hmm .when Im cornering slow about 25/30mph I can feel like a grinding coming from the rear end .. Ive done the test for play in the drive bearing and there is none so thats ok .. there is a slight and I mean slight movement from one of the paralever bearings..any ideas what it could be causing the grinding feeling ? cheers

Squared tyres, even a couple of thousand off a Michelin can cause it :D

Slacken and re-torque (& re-grease) your paralevers anyway but it's probably just the tyres.

Is oil clean ? I had grinding and no play when change oil there was bit metal in it , bearing was starting breaking up .

2 bikes , twice is happy

Yeah oils clean ..prolly give the bearings a tweek up ..hmm never thought about tyre ..its a conti trail attak was on bike when I got it ,its starting to square off now tho ..great tyre by the way theres no chicken strips on it .. ahem :thumb cannae believe the solid handling of the gs ..awesome either solo or 2 up ...:bow

i cant see tyres causing a grinding noise, its more likely to be a bearing ,when you got a bit of side way force,if its a grinding/rotational noise its got to be the main bearing cage starting to fail ,change it soon before it goes altogether.its an easy enough job to do :thumb

Well had the wheel off and rear caliper today and cant for the life of Me find anything wrong other than a slight movement of the paralever bearing ..no oil leak, misting or play from the FD so jus gonna ignore it n ride the blinkin thing .. ..:)

I agree that part-worn tyres are a likely cause - but I would describe the noise they make as more of a "gear whine" noise rather than a "grinding" noise:confused:
