R1100gs rider display

Hi can I retro fit a digital RID rider information display to my r1100gs. Is it just plug I to existing wiring loom and everything will work!! Is it this easy???

Yes, I did just that to my 850. Cutting the hole out of the dash panel isn't too easy, but I decided that was easier than swapping it with everything that has to come apart to do that.
Socket is under the tank, plug it in and it all works. At least it did on mine.

Done at last these things are like hens teeth secondhand. Fitted top console and LCD display works perfect don't know how I coped without it even just the clock.
