R1100gs wheels on 1150gs

are the wheels interchangeable? read somewhere that the 02 onward were not due to abs ring and brake location. just flicking through ebay and curious see if can swop one for the other?

if one did fit on witht he brakes i take it the abs should work with it? i think i have a r1100gs wheel on the rear as old one had rotten spokes but not 110% sure. must check when go home. i know numbers stamped on side were the same
 
I think the front forks on a post 2001 1150GS are different to those on pre 2001 1100's and 1150's. Could be where the brake calipers mount.

PS - must drop those lights out to you this week
 
All 1100/1150 GS wheels fit each other. Later servo braked wheels have different ABS rings but still fit and work. Only problem with the later rings on earlier bikes being you sometimes get the ABS warning light flash on at speed. But not all the time.

have rim and hub in car all the time anyway
