My 1100GS cut out on me. It would idle but the minute I opened the throttle it would cut out.
I'd had a screaming fuel pump recently so I thought it was the pump although I could still hear the pump running. I decided to change the pump and filter. No change. It will sit there idling but still cuts out when the throttle is opened.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Check the throttle cables where they go into the balance adjusters.......I can't be arsed to find the classic pic, I'm sure someone will find it or it's in the FOAW, but I bet one of your cable sheaths isn't seated totally inside the adjuster.

Click it back in and fire it up :thumb2

My 1150 did the exact same thing there is a vid on YouTube that helped my diagnosis. Lay money on it that will be a new Halls Sensor needed...

If your TPS is disconnected/stuffed it does this as it doesnt feed more juice when you open throttles:beer:

Mine did the same thing. Check the hall sensors and remember that if the fuel pump works as you turn the engine, it doesn't mean both sensors are working. DAMHIK.

Thanks lads for the tips.
Using one of the threads I built a test set and sure enough the lower HES had gone open circuit, I won't know if it is the sensor or wiring until I pull the plate off.
Has anyone come up with a non Chinese alternative to the 2av54 yet?

As an aside can anyone tell me the dimensions of the TDC tool.
